DSG Crosslinker
Description
Disuccinimidyl glutarate (DSG) is a cell membrane permeable, homobifunctional crosslinker with a five carbon spacer arm. DSG contains two NHS esters that are ideal for selectively targeting primary amine moieties at pH 7 to 9. DSG is a simple, short length crosslinker that forms irreversible amide bonds with lysine residues. This compound is ideally suited for a wide range of crosslinking applications, where a cleavable crosslinker is not preferential.
This compound is also available in a water soluble form (BS2G), which enables direct addition to aqueous buffers, when the user prefers not to use any organic solvents in their crosslinking applications.
CovaChem's DSG is among the highest purity in the industry, with an absolute purity specification of ≥ 97%, measured with quantitative NMR against an internal standard, and typical batches have purity values close to 99% pure.
